However, limo hire companies have to pay to buy the limousine, pay for insurance, registration, chauffeur wages, fuel and all of the other expenses which come with running a business.

The minimum hire time also includes the time that the chauffeurs and the mechanics spend on getting the limo ready to go out. Therefore the three hour hire time makes up for the time spent preparing the limo and all of the associated limo costs.

There are costs involved with making every type of product and every kind of service. A hotel will charge you for a whole night even if you get back at 3am and only use the room for half a night. They have other costs to cover and this allows them to provide you such a service.

If you do find a limo hire company willing to offer you hire for any less than three hours, you should take a close look at how they run their business and where they are cutting their costs so as not to need to enforce a minimum booking time. These companies may be scrimping on their service and their maintenance or more worryingly they may be scrimping on the background checks on their drivers or the right amount of insurance.
